2020 has been full of unexpected events. Some of those events have forced us all to expand and innovate – not just within ourselves but also with respect to our jobs and wider industries.
At Aware Group, we constantly strive to bring new and emerging technologies into play with our customers to both support areas such as health and safety, quality control, and job creation, as well as improvements to existing services.
The events of this year have only proven to accelerate some of these needs and digitise human-controlled aspects of certain occupations that were previously done by human hands.
To support the viability and growth of local New Zealand businesses, Aware Group and Rocos have partnered to encourage local investment in innovation.
We are proud to offer this proposal to 5 corporate customers for 2020.
Programme outline: A 6-week innovation pilot using one of the greatest mobile robots to just hit commercialisation – Boston Dynamics’ Spot. The operations behind the robot, Rocos Robotics Platform is partnered with us, Aware Group, to bring it all together with our expertise in AI, IoT and big data.
A few examples of what Spot could do for your organisation:
- Inspect progress on construction
sites, create digital twins, and identify hazards. - Remotely inspect and identify supporting awareness and operations.
- Go where no human should go, safety is paramount. What could you do.
- Support healthcare through remote healthcare deployments – delivery,
disinfecting. You name it. - Inspire the next generation.

Cost Range: $180,000 – $250,000NZD
First Programme Start: from 1st September 2020. Programmes will be undertaken on a 6-week rolling basis, according to availability as well as individual customer preferences and requirements.
